The Principals Academy recently hosted and facilitated a transformative professional development program from April 7 to 9, 2024, aimed at enriching 105 senior educators from Himachal Pradesh, India. Under the theme "21st Century Teaching & Learning Practices in the Classroom," the program was meticulously designed to provide participants with the latest educational strategies and methodologies. The focus was on enhancing skills crucial for student success in today's global society, such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. The sessions combined theoretical knowledge with practical applications, making the learning experience both immersive and comprehensive.
In addition to in-class sessions, the program included visits to primary and secondary schools in Singapore, allowing the educators to observe 21st-century teaching methods in real-time. These visits were instrumental in showcasing how Singapore's education system successfully integrates advanced teaching practices into everyday classroom activities. By engaging with these practical examples, participants from Himachal Pradesh could visualize how to adapt and implement similar strategies in their contexts, significantly boosting the theoretical components of the program with hands-on learning experiences.
