Principals Academy Inc (PAI) was established on 14 Nov 2003 as a joint venture between Academy of Principals (Singapore) and Economic Development Board (EDB) in response to the Singapore Government's vision of developing the nation into a thriving international education hub. PAI was launched by then Minister for Education, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam on 8 November 2004.

The logo of Principals Academy carries the name of the institution accompanied by six dots forming a triangle, emanating from a focal point which is “the little red dot”, often associated with the city state of Singapore.
Principals’ Academy seeks to “connect the dots” for educators and education institutions within the country, in the region, and globally. The shades of red, orange and yellow dots also indicate the range and types of professional development services that the Academy offers with its aim to enhance the effectiveness and impact of its educational partners and clients.
At PAI, we are constantly exploring new opportunities in education, forging partnerships with internationally renowned universities, trainers and education providers worldwide.
It is through these partnerships that we are able to bring the best training courses, academic programmes and educational materials to Asia, educating both our learners and educators by providing skill sets that will help them stay relevant not only in today's world, but also in the years to come.

In addition to organising and hosting global conferences and events, PAI provides quality seminars, workshops and programmes that enhance the capability of our educators as well as encourage continual learning. Our programmes cover a wide range of topics in educational leadership, instructional leadership, classroom management and student-centred learning.
PAI provides academic programmes for educators seeking to pursue further studies in the education field. In addition, we offer certification tests for international students seeking to study in Singapore as well as General Ability Tests (GAT) for schools and institutions wishing to examine their students general reasoning ability. PAI also administers the Ministry of Education's School Placement Exercise for returning Singaporeans.
PAI serves as a gateway for overseas educators and partners who wish to learn from Singapore's experience in education. We provide consulting services and support to regional clients in the following areas: comprehensive education, school management and curriculum development. PAI currently supports Singapore schools through the provision of consultancy in offering advice and consultancy in strategic leadership, assessment, pedagogy and school effectiveness. We bring in internationally renowned trainers to help develop strategy papers, recommendations and frameworks that will enrich the work of schools and education institutions.
