Mdm Nadarajah V Rani is a Senior Educational Consultant at the Principals Academy. Rani has been in the teaching service since 1978 and has engaged in a wide range of learning experiences during her education career. She started her teaching experience in a primary school and culminated her career as a Master Teacher (Geography) in 2019.
She was involved in the conceptualisation and conduct of a wide variety of workshops with a student-centric focus such as Data-driven conversations for enhancing pedagogical decisions, Differentiated Instruction for student accommodation, Assessment for learning, Literacy in Geography and Learning Study.
Since her retirement, she has continued learning through completing a course of study in Applied Positive Psychology, Health Coaching and Para-counselling. She has also continued teaching as an Adjunct Teacher for ‘high-needs’ students in a primary school and a Geography teacher in a secondary school so that she keeps in touch with current school teaching and learning environments.
Having been in the education system for over 45 years, Rani is now more convinced that training must involve teachers to focus on a mindset of learning rather than teaching. Only then, can teachers effectively engage students in what truly matters in their classrooms – Learning, Understanding & Clarity!
