In collaboration with Eduplex Education Group in South Africa, the Principals Academy organised the first-ever South Africa Symposium of Singapore Maths Strategies from 20 to 22 July 2016 to train educators in South Africa to use the Singapore Mathematics curriculum in their classrooms. Over 300 educators from all over South Africa attended the symposium. The keynote topics were "Taking the First Steps - Eyeing the Mathematical Horizon", "The Primary Mathematics Curriculum in Singapore", and "Why Singapore Math Works: How you can adapt it to your situation". Besides the keynote presentations, the participants were treated to a series of spotlight workshops on geometry, statistics, developing numeracy skills and spatial understanding at the Preschool, Primary and Secondary levels.\
