Professional Development of School Leaders from Maharashtra, India

23 to 27 March 2025

From 23 to 27 March 2025, Principals Academy hosted a four-day professional development programme for 50 school leaders from Maharashtra, India. The programme focused on strengthening student engagement through experiential learning, effective instructional strategies, and school immersion experiences.

The first two days featured intensive workshops on engaging students through inquiry and problem-based learning, as well as practical strategies to enhance classroom interaction and student development. These sessions provided participants with actionable tools to design learner-centred lessons and foster a more inclusive and dynamic classroom environment.

The latter part of the programme included school visits to a secondary and a primary school in Singapore. These immersion experiences offered valuable insights into the local education system, highlighting best practices in curriculum implementation, student support, and whole-school engagement strategies.

The four-day programme offered a balanced mix of theory, application, and observation, equipping Maharashtra’s school leaders with relevant skills and perspectives to drive impactful change in their schools.
