Leading from Within

  • How can we help new school leaders grow their adaptive capabilities?
  • How can school leaders learn to diagnose underlying issues more critically to make better decisions?
  • How can new appointees start shifting their mindsets of a manager to that of a leader?

Leaders have the higher challenge of providing direction by identifying key issues of concern before they become obvious to others. While technical competencies and skills are important, it is the less obvious aspects leadership like observation skills, judgement and organizational awareness that are more critical in an increasingly complex environment.

Through this workshop, school leaders (SLs) will be exposed to various aspects of the Leading from Within FrameworK (LfW). The LfW framework will be shared with learning organization tools helping leaders move from taking a judger stance to a learner stance and how leading self creates a reinforcing loop that goes on to impact one’s abilty to lead others, lead inquiry, and lead in curriculum.
