Leading the Effective Implementation of a Dynamic and Responsive Curriculum

This workshop will examine different components of the curriculum: content (what to teach): pedagogy (how to teach): assessment (at what stage is the learning?) and sequencing  (in what order to teach - linear and non-linear); official and real curriculum time available; resources available (including staffing; budget, teaching resources) staff input and consultation ; determining students’ current entry point as a baseline; setting appropriate curricular goals; staff professional development and mutual support; and designing an effective programme for curriculum enhancement.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Grasp essential components like content, pedagogy, assessment, and sequencing.
  • Evaluate curriculum time, available resources, and staff input effectively.
  • Determine student baselines and design programs for optimal curriculum enhancement.
