Better Feedback, Better Learning

Designing Effective Rubrics and Feedback for Student Engagement and Growth

Description

Effective feedback is one of the most powerful ways assessment can improve student learning—but not all feedback is the same. This interactive workshop explores how educators can design rubrics and feedback processes that make learning goals and success criteria clear, engage students actively in assessing their own and others’ learning, and support meaningful improvement in learning. Participants will explore practical approaches to self- and peer-assessment, examine common challenges and misconceptions, and apply feedback strategies to authentic classroom contexts.
