Mr. Ang Pow Chew is a Senior Consultant at Principals Academy. He is a veteran education leader with 37 years of dedicated service in Singapore’s education system. As Principal of National Junior College (2014–2022), he guided the school through its 50th anniversary, navigated the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, and championed broader measures of student success beyond academics. Mr. Ang was also Principal of Victoria School (2000–2005), where he oversaw the building of its Marine Parade campus and successfully established the school as an Autonomous School.
He also served at the Ministry of Education as Deputy Director (Branch Head) in the Curriculum Planning Division (2008–2013), where he oversaw curriculum design and policy as well as Deputy Director (Branch Head) of Education Technology where he co-led the development of the pioneering ICT Masterplan Phase 1 that transformed classroom learning with technology.
His areas of expertise include strategic school leadership, curriculum planning and development, education technology, teacher professional growth, values- and character-based education, and crisis and change management.
